Plans and Pricing
Cinch Home Warranty offers three plans that range in price depending on your location as well as the deductible you choose, which is the amount you pay before they cover the rest. This deductible is also known as the service call fee.
You can select from three deductible options (which will result in a higher or lower monthly payment): $100, $125, and $150.
Appliances:
As its name suggests, this plan covers standard home appliances like washers and dryers, cooktops, and dishwashers. An Appliances plan starts at $27.99 a month.
Built-in Systems:
This plan only covers home systems like AC, ceiling fans, electrical systems, and more. A Built-in Systems plan starts at $44.99 a month.
Complete Home:
This plan covers everything in the Appliances and Built-in Systems plans and starts at $39.99.
In addition to these three plans, Cinch also allows you to select add-ons to further customize your plan, like a pool ($13.33 a month), spa ($13.33 a month), or a septic tank ($2.50 a month).
The Cinch Home Warranty website is transparent with the prices for each plan and you can get a quick quote online.
The three deductible options will remain the same, no matter where you live, but you can enter your zip code to see what each plan would cost and everything that it covers.
Service Fees
When submitting a repair request, you have to pay the deductible you choose when buying a plan ($100, $125, or $150), which is the same thing as the service call fee.
Their service fees are a bit higher than the industry average, which typically ranges from $75-$125.
Payout Caps
Like most home warranty plans, Cinch home warranties have payment caps.
While you can make unlimited service requests for covered items in your contract, Cinch Home Warranty will pay up to $1,500 per contract term for major systems. For appliances, they’ll pay up to $2,000 per item per contract.
The maximum plan limit for all claims is $10,000 per term.
The website conveniently includes a link to the terms and services right underneath each plan option so you can see what the full limitations are along with what’s covered.
A home inspection is not required to buy a plan.

Exclusions
When you’re comparing plans on their website, items listed under each plan have an information icon next to them. If you click on this icon, you’ll be able to see what the payment cap is and what the exclusions are (but not all).
For example, if you click on the icon next to Clothes Dryer under the Appliances plan, it’ll say that all components and parts are covered up to $2,000 per term.
Or if you look at Water Heater under Built-in Systems, clicking the icon will reveal that it excludes auxiliary holding or storage tanks, fuel storage tank, or energy conservation unit(s).
Most items will have limitations and exclusions, so be sure to read the terms for the plan you’re interested in to find out exactly what is and isn’t covered, since not all of this information is displayed under each plan.
Claims & Repairs
It’s easy and straightforward to file a repair claim with Cinch Home Warranty. If a covered item needs repair, you can request service at any time, 24/7.
You’ll need to fill out a short online form that lets them know what plan you have, your zip code, and what’s broken. From there, you can pick an appointment and pay the service fee upfront.
Cinch Home Warranty will connect you with a technician in their network within 2 hours if it’s during normal business hours, and within 24 hours outside of business hours.
If you need an emergency repair, they’ll do their best to expedite the request, but it’s not guaranteed.
Visit SiteCustomer Service
You can get in touch with a Cinch representative by calling the phone number listed at the top of their website.
You can also visit their contact page to send a message through their online contact form. Their customer service team is available 24/7.
Compared to other home warranty companies, Cinch has a generally positive reputation. They’re members of the NHSCA and have an A- from the BBB.
They have a mix of positive and negative reviews online, but most are related to not getting coverage on repairs, which can likely be avoided by reading the full terms of the agreement.
Cinch Home Warranty has replied to most of the negative reviews on the BBB website, which is a good indicator that they care about their customers and their reputation.
Final Thoughts
While Cinch Home Warranty has higher service call fees than the industry standard, you can easily check to see what the monthly rate is on all of their plans to compare prices.
All you need to submit is your zip code and you’ll be able to see what items are included in each plan and how much it costs for different add-ons.
Like every home warranty company, there are limitations on what’s covered and exclusions, so it’s important to review the terms for the plan you’re interested in so you aren’t surprised later.
