Rewards Redemption

There are a couple of ways to redeem your miles with the VentureOne Rewards from Capital One card. The first way is to book a trip using miles you’ve already earned through Capital One Travel. To do this, use the credit card to purchase your trip. Then, log into your account online, go to Rewards, click “Cover Your Travel Purchases,” and follow the prompts to use your rewards. Alternatively, you can call the Rewards Center to have them redeemed.
Another option is to use your rewards at travel.capitalone.com. On this site, you can book a flight, get a car rental, or reserve a hotel and use your miles to help pay for the purchase. In general, 10,000 miles is the equivalent to $100.
If desired, you can request a reimbursement on a prior travel purchase and use your rewards to cover the difference. Or you can redeem the rewards as an account credit, gift card, physical check, or PayPal credit. You can also transfer your miles to over 15 airline and hotel loyalty programs.
Rewards to not expire unless the account is deactivated.

Terms, Rates and Fees

Once the introductory period ends, this card will switch to a variable APR ranging from 19.99% to 29.99%. There’s also a 29.99% APR for cash advances.
Other fees include a $40 late payment fee and a 3% balance transfer fee for any transfer made in the first 15 months. There is no balance transfer fee after this introductory period. Additionally, there are no annual or foreign transaction fees.
If the account balance is $25 or less, the minimum payment is for the full balance amount. If the balance is higher, the minimum payment will be 1% of the current balance, plus any late payment fees or interest.
Your rate and credit limit are based on creditworthiness. The better your credit score and income, the better your terms and the higher your limit.

Maximize Benefits and Avoid Fees

Here’s how to maximize your benefits and prevent fees with the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card:

  • Prioritize Capital One Travel. By using Capital One Travel for your purchases, you can receive 5 miles per dollar spent. This is roughly the equivalent of $0.05.
  • Take advantage of the new cardmember offer. A first-year value is to spend enough money using this card to qualify for the 20,000 free bonus miles. Be sure to pay off your balance in full each month to avoid interest charges.
  • Use the 0% introductory APR. Part of this card’s ongoing value is its 0% APR for the first 15 months of opening an account. During this time, it might be worth transferring the balance from a high-interest credit card to this one. Make sure you can pay off the balance before the introductory period ends.
  • Continue paying off your balance. By paying off your balance before interest accrues, you can avoid high interest charges and still earn points toward travel.
