Rewards Redemption

With the Capital One Walmart Rewards Mastercard, redeeming your rewards is simple. For example, you can use all or some of your cash back when checking out online. If you do this, Capital One will usually credit your account within a couple of business days, though it may take up to 60 days to process.
If you’ve already made a purchase using this credit card, you can log into the Capital One mobile app or go to walmart.capitalone.com to redeem your points. You will then receive an account credit. These redemptions must be made no more than 90 days from when you made the purchase.
You can also choose to redeem your rewards in the form of a check, gift card, or travel. Rewards do not expire unless the account is closed.

Terms, Rates and Fees

The Capital One Walmart Rewards Mastercard comes with a variable rate of either 17.99% or 29.74%, depending on creditworthiness and the current prime rate. It also comes with a minimum credit line of $300.
Although there is no annual fee, there are other fees to be aware of. This includes a 3% transfer fee and a 3% or $3 cash advance fee (whichever is greater). There’s also a late payment fee of $39.
As with other credit cards, cardholders will need to make a monthly minimum payment based on their current balance. If the balance is less than $28, the minimum payment will be the full balance amount. Otherwise, the balance will be 1% of the current balance plus any late payment fees or interest charges.
All in all, this card’s terms and fees are fairly standard.

Maximize Benefits and Avoid Fees

  • Take advantage of Walmart Pay. This card comes with a first-year value in the form of its 12-month introductory bonus of 5% cash back on all purchases via Walmart Pay. Say, for example, you spend $500 a month for 12 months and earn 5% cash back. That equates to roughly 30,000 points or $300 a year in cash back.
  • Pay off your full balance. To avoid interest charges, pay off your entire balance each month.
  • Avoid cash advances. Cash advances come with their own fees, so try to avoid using this credit card for that purpose.
  • Use the cash back rewards. Use this card for Walmart pickup and delivery, dining, travel, and everyday purchases to get the most ongoing value.
