U.S. Bank Visa® Platinum

The U.S. Bank Visa Platinum Card does not come with any rewards. The biggest feature to this card is that it comes with a long 0% introductory APR period.
Terms, Rates and Fees
This credit card comes with no introductory annual percentage rate (APR) for the first 18 months of opening an account. After that, the APR switches to a variable rate ranging from 19.74% to 29.74%, depending on creditworthiness. There is no penalty APR.
The U.S. Bank Visa Platinum Card does come with other fees, however. This includes:
- 29.99% APR on cash advances
- 3% or $5 fee for balance transfers and check cash advances (whichever is higher)
- 5% or $10 fee for other cash advances (whichever is higher)
- 3% foreign transaction fee
- $41 late payment fee
Although the variable APR can be relatively high, the general terms and conditions of this card are reasonable.
Maximize Benefits and Avoid Fees
- Transfer your balance in the first 60 days. During this time, you won’t have to pay a fee. The transferred amount will also benefit from the 0% introductory interest rate, which is a solid first-year value that extends into the second year.
- Pay your cell phone bill. By using this credit card for your cell phone bill, you can receive up to $600 as a reimbursement. This is another ongoing value of this card.
