Their plans fall into 4 categories: Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Electrical, and Combo, but the number of plans within each category as well as prices will vary depending on your location.

They offer 24/7 customer service and you can file a claim online, via live chat, or over the phone. While there is no clear repair time information provided, HomeServe attempts to send a technician immediately after submitting a repair request claim.

Service Fees

HomeServe doesn’t charge any service fees or deductibles. Customers won’t have to pay anything out of pocket up to the specified benefit limit amount.

Payout Caps

Each plan has its own payout cap terms.

For example, the Exterior Water Service Line Coverage has a maximum benefit limit of $5,000 for each service call. Any charges beyond that amount will need to be covered by the customer.

For the Electrical Line Coverage Combo Plan, the maximum benefit limit is $3,000 per term for exterior electrical lines and $2,500 per term for interior electrical lines.

While their website is transparent about pricing, be sure to click on the Terms & Conditions link under the plan option to view payout caps and benefit limits.

Contracts are 12 months and a home inspection isn’t required when buying a plan.
