Found Business Online Banking Review

Angela Mae Watson Angela Mae Watson Last update:

Overview

Launched in 2019, Found’s all-in-one business checking account is designed to make online banking easier for the self-employed. Found’s suite of free tools and modern app simplify the financial stresses and paperwork that comes with running a business (e.g. estimating taxes, tracking expenses, using multiple apps) so users can save time and focus on running their business.

Found’s suite of free tools makes it really easy to stay organized. Found automatically tracks and categorizes your expenses as you go, and saves your receipts in the app. You can see your tax estimate in real time and watch it update as Found identifies new write offs and recalculates what you owe. If you want, Found will automatically set aside the money you owe inside your account and let you pay your taxes directly from the app.

You can create and send free invoices directly in Found instead of having to jump between multiple apps. Take or make payments, it’s all tracked in one place. It’s easy to connect Found with Square, Cash App, PayPal and other popular payment gateways.

Opening an Account with Found

To open a business account, simply fill out the application on the main page. This will take a few minutes and does not affect your credit score. Be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Legal name
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • SSN
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Estimated annual income (this year)
  • Details regarding your tax situation

You may be required to provide additional information regarding your identity.

Once you’ve completed the application, it can take up to 48 hours to activate the account. It takes 5 to 7 business days, on average, to receive your Found business debit card.

If you choose the Found Plus option, which comes with additional features, you’ll need to set up payment for that. It costs $14.99 a month, or $95.88 a year.

Setting up an account does require verifying both your email and phone number about a third of the way through the application process. If you need help or need to check the status of your account, use the Help button on the bottom of the website.
